DeLonghi DO1289 Convection Counter-Top Oven Review
I was looking for something to use in place of my regular oven and for toasting. Toasting does take about 5 minutes but it makes great toast. You have to experiment with the toaster settings as I burned my first batch of toast. I suggest using the “no. 3″ setting when making toast for the first time and then adjusting upward or downward afterwards, until you determine your preference. I’ve also baked a small turkey breast, small chicken and other entrees in this oven. All of these items came out fantastic, as good or better than my big oven, but without the expense of using a full-sized oven. It is perfect for baking small meals for kids, which I do quite often. It comes with a nice array of baking sheets, a pizza tray and other racks. So far, I have only used the oven’s bake and toast settings and I have no comment about its other options. I next intend to try baking cookies in this oven. I have not experienced any of the problems or difficulties noted in other reviews. As stated by a previous reviewer, the enamel interior was also a big selling point as I try to avoid nonstick products when at all possible. The dials and settings are easy to use.
